Why it matters
【Key points】
On Oct 8 Anthropic's Claude product blog put Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion into public beta, and moved Docs, Slides and Design out of beta onto every Claude plan, including Free.
Dashboards connect to company data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks and Snowflake, answer plain-language questions, build live dashboards, and can hand work off to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog or Sigma. Motion turns reports and charts into short animated explainers by writing code that drives text, charts and shapes—not a video generation model—so wording, numbers and timing stay editable. Anthropic says people have made more than 45 million docs, decks and designs since Docs, Slides and Design shipped.

【Our read】
1. No new model—another step toward Claude as a company-data front door and delivery surface, with asking data and shipping explainers built in.
2. Code-driven Motion trades flashy video for editability; Anthropic is competing for workflow, not with video labs.
3. Free access to Docs/Slides/Design is acquisitive; the real gap is enterprise connectors and permissions, where IT review and hallucination risk will still gate the beta.
