Editorial policy

How an item gets onto AGI Pulse, how evidence is graded, and how a mistake is corrected.

What gets published

The public site shows model releases, research, policy and governance, industry and capital, products, papers, and statements that bear on the direction of AI. A homepage row is a pointer: headline, short summary, category, and a link. The permanent timeline is a curated set of nodes. Scraped leads can be kept as evidence, but they are not presented as the public timeline.

An item appears only after it is marked published and its publish time, if any, has arrived. Drafts, scheduled items, retracted items, and items hidden from the public stay out of pages, RSS, and the sitemap.

Importance and the digest

Importance runs from 0 to 100. The index threshold is 45, configured in one place in the site code. At or above 45, the item can be indexed as its own page. Below 45, the page stays reachable for readers and from Latest, the archive, and RSS, but it is marked noindex and left out of the sitemap. Those shorter items are aggregated into the daily and weekly digests. Filtered, paginated, and date-sliced list pages are also noindex, so a tag or a previous week is not treated as a separate article.

Evidence levels

Evidence level is an editorial judgment stored with the item. The page does not infer it from a domain name. The five levels are:

Source types

Source type describes who produced the record. It is separate from how strong the evidence is. The types are:

Verification

Verification status is one of unverified, checking, verified, disputed, or corrected. Unverified means the desk has not finished checking. Checking means a review is in progress. Verified means the public record matches the claim as stated. Disputed means a material conflict remains. Corrected means the item was wrong and has been revised. Confidence, when present, is the desk's confidence in the factual claim, not a model score.

Languages

Chinese and English are stored separately. A missing translation falls back to the original text. The site does not invent a Chinese headline when none was written. If a Chinese headline exists and the summary on the page is Chinese, that headline is what the page shows, and the element language follows the text.

Corrections

When a public source shows that a fact was wrong, the desk edits the published item and the updated time on the page changes. The verification status can be set to corrected. A timeline node can record which earlier claim it corrects, and which older node it supersedes. A retracted item leaves the public pages. The desk does not erase a public mistake while leaving the updated time unchanged.

There is no contact form, and this site does not publish an email address, phone number, or postal address. Corrections are made from public sources by the desk. They are not submitted through the site.

What we do not do

We do not republish the full text of a source. We do not present the curve or the importance score as a measurement of intelligence. We do not treat a lead as a verified fact. Internal editor notes stay internal.
